INHALATION TREATMENTS

Treatable pathologies: Sinusitis, rhinitis, otitis, tubalitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, bronchitis.

Methodology:
Using various techniques, inhalation treatments can introduce both thermal water, broken down into very fine particles, and the gases it contains into the upper airways and respiratory system. Inhalation therapy devices are based on a fundamental principle: breaking thermal water into droplets using compressed air or pressurized steam. During the first few days of treatment, the sulfurous waters in the upper and lower respiratory tract may initially cause temporary mucosal congestion, resulting in increased fluidity of mucous or mucopurulent secretions and mild local irritation that may cause coughing. Only later does local conditions improve, and therefore symptoms, due to the anti-catarrhal, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects. By promoting local microcirculation, the mucosal conditions also improve.

Duration: The duration of the inhalation treatments is decided by the spa doctor at the time of the visit and can vary from a minimum of a few minutes to approximately 15.
